Costumes Encouraged: Portsmouth Rec's Fall Family Fun Fest Is Free on Oct. 24

S'mores fire pit. Food trucks. Music. Games. Costumes encouraged. Portsmouth Rec just published the coziest free Saturday on the calendar.

The city's 6th Annual Fall Family Fun Fest lands on Saturday, Oct. 24, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Community Campus, according to the City of Portsmouth.

Everyone's welcome. Costumes are encouraged. The Rec lineup includes music, games, a s'mores fire pit, food trucks and "lots of fun for the whole family." Best part: it's free.

It's the kind of hometown afternoon that reminds you why the Seacoast does fall so well — sticky marshmallows and all.

Pack the costume. Pack the kids. We'll meet you by the fire pit.
