Apple season in Burlington needed a soundtrack. Citizen Cider answered with bluegrass, alterna-funk and a bounce house — because cider weekends should work for every age.
Ciderfest returned to Citizen Cider at 316 Pine St. on Saturday, Oct. 3, from 2–8 p.m., celebrating the apple harvest with live music, tastings, giveaways, tours and "plenty of cider to go around," according to the University of Vermont events calendar.
The free, all-ages lineup: bluegrass duo Zachary DeFranco and David Gusakov from 2–4:30 p.m., then alterna-funk dream-rock band Rose Asteroid from 5–7 p.m. Local businesses and vendors set up shop, and a kids zone with a bounce house kept the little ones happily occupied.
It's Burlington doing harvest season the right way — community first, sticky cider fingers second, dance break third.
