Granny C's Bakery Closes After 7 Years on the Boise Bench

The Boise Bench has lost a neighborhood favorite. Granny C's Bakery, a family-owned shop in the Hillcrest Shopping Center, has closed for good after about seven and a half years, BoiseDev reports.

Owner Brad DeBoer said health problems and other hardships made it impossible to keep up the bakery's schedule of six days a week and 12- to 13-hour days. The last day of business was Oct. 24.

If you have a favorite Granny C's memory, now's a good time to support the other independent bakeries on the Bench.
