This month, we’re giving a big cheers to our partner **[BonTempsTix](https://bontempstix.com/)** from *[**Country Roads Magazine**](https://countryroadsmagazine.com/)*. *Country Roads* has been around since 1983 and is a cultural reporting publication focusing on South Louisiana, the Mississippi Delta, and the Gulf Coast. They began BonTempsTix almost eight years ago and it has quickly bloomed into a powerhouse, hosting some of the biggest local events in South Louisiana. We spoke with Publisher and Co-Owner, **James Fox-Smith**, to share more of the BonTempsTix story. He wanted to shout out his incredibly talented team, Molly McNeal, Operations Coordinator and Ticketing Specialist, and Kourtney Zimmerman, Art Director and Ticketing Specialist. This event has hugely expanded the C*ountry Roads Magazine’s* reach, scale, and addressable audience. That balloon festival sounds like it could make the *Wizard of Oz* jealous. #### BonTempsTix Advice for New Ticketing Partners 1. **Start with** the event organizations with whom you have **existing relationships**. 2. **Educate** them to the **value of free local publicity**. 3. Make sure they know that by choosing the EVVNT platform over Eventbrite or similar, **they’re helping support and sustain local media and the cultural economy**. 4. Know that it’s going to **take a while to** **build momentum**.
