# Lakeland Street Market Soft-Opens With 139 Vendors

[Richard Green](https://blog.evvnt.com/news/author/richard-green) Dec 31, 1969, 7:00:00 PM

Lakeland just got a whole lot more interesting on Memorial Boulevard.

The Lakeland Street Market soft-opened October 1 at 955 E Memorial Blvd, and the numbers are big: 139 vendors, 12 restaurants with indoor and outdoor seating, an arcade, art installations, and a dedicated events stage. It's part food hall, part marketplace, part hangout — the kind of all-day destination Lakeland has been waiting for.

The soft opening means they're still dialing things in, but the grand opening is set for November 1 — with a Christmas tree lighting, because of course. That's confidence: opening big, then going bigger for the holidays.

Markets like this live or die on becoming a habit. With that many vendors and a stage for events, the Street Market is betting it becomes Lakeland's default Saturday.

Go explore before the crowds figure it out.

Between the food vendors, the arcade, and the stage, this is the rare opening that already feels like a fixture. Lakeland, you've got a new living room.
