The ISNN was a unique platform for discussing the interplay between nutrition and the genome.

The conference was **designed for scientists and professionals** in the fields of Nutritional and Food Sciences, Paediatrics, Gastroenterology, Endocrinology, Metabolism, Neonatology, Public health, Molecular cell biology, Genetics and Immunology.

The scientific program included **recent advances and state of the art lectures** covering genetic, immunological, microbiological and clinical developments in the field of nutrigenomics /nutrigenetics and functional foods. The congress offered **many opportunities to discuss and share** clinical and research field interests, to present original works, to see old friends and to meet new colleagues.
