Bargain hunters on the north end may soon get their own treasure hunt.

Grocery Outlet has applied for permits to open a second Bend location in the former Staples on the city's north end, next to Home Depot, The Bulletin reports.

A renovation permit for the store has been submitted, according to the city's Building Safety Division. Bend's only Grocery Outlet today is on Third Street and Wilson Avenue.

No opening date has been announced, and the company did not respond to The Bulletin's questions. We will keep an eye on it.
