# 6 Unique Event Venue Upsell Ideas

You've booked the act, set up the chairs and sold the tickets. Now comes the question every venue and event promoter eventually asks: how do we earn more from the guests who are already coming?

The answer usually isn't more events. It's better extras. A good upsell makes the night feel bigger for the guest and adds revenue for you, and nobody has to feel like they got the hard sell.

Here are six ideas that go beyond "would you like a drink with that?"

## ![upgrade1evvnteventmarketing](https://blog.evvnt.com/hs-fs/hubfs/upgrade1evvnteventmarketing.png?width=1272&height=220&name=upgrade1evvnteventmarketing.png)

Some guests will happily pay more to skip the guesswork. Offer a limited number of premium seats with a perk attached: a reserved table, a dedicated server, early entry, or a front-row view.

Did you know [Evvnt ticketing allows you to create VIP tickets?](https://evvnt.com/event-creators/ticketing/) You can name the ticket anything you want.

**Make it work:** Keep the number small so it feels exclusive, and name it something fun. A "Director's Booth" sells better than "Section A."

## ![upsellevvnteventdirect](https://blog.evvnt.com/hs-fs/hubfs/upsellevvnteventdirect.png?width=1272&height=220&name=upsellevvnteventdirect.png)

The hour before doors open is often wasted time. Turn it into a paid add-on, like a meet-and-greet, a backstage tour, a tasting with a local brewery, or a short workshop tied to the event.

**Make it work:** Partner with local businesses. They bring the product, you bring the audience, and everyone wins.

## ![bundledpackagesevvntupsellpromote](https://blog.evvnt.com/hs-fs/hubfs/bundledpackagesevvntupsellpromote.png?width=1272&height=220&name=bundledpackagesevvntupsellpromote.png)

Instead of selling extras one at a time, bundle them. A "Date Night" package with two tickets, a drink each and a dessert to share feels like a plan, not a purchase. Everyone loves getting "more" for less.

**Make it work:** Build bundles around who's coming, such as couples, families, friend groups or corporate teams. Give each one a clear name and a clear price.

## ![evvnteventpromotion](https://blog.evvnt.com/hs-fs/hubfs/evvnteventpromotion.png?width=1272&height=220&name=evvnteventpromotion.png)

We just have to remind you, [Evvnt Ticketing allows you to sell merch WHILE selling tickets](https://evvnt.com/event-creators/ticketing/). A shirt that says the band's name is nice. A shirt that says *"I was there, Holiday Jam 2026"* is a keepsake. Limited-run, event-specific merch gives guests a reason to buy tonight, not later.

**Make it work:** Let guests add merch to their ticket order and pick it up on-site, so nobody has to wait in a long line at intermission.

## ![evvntpromoteyourevent](https://blog.evvnt.com/hs-fs/hubfs/evvntpromoteyourevent.png?width=1272&height=220&name=evvntpromoteyourevent.png)

When the main event ends, the night doesn't have to. Offer a ticketed after-party, a lounge session or an acoustic set for guests who want to stay.

**Make it work:** Promote it during the event, from the stage, on screens and on signs at the bar. The guests who are having the most fun are your best buyers.

## ![evvntupsellyourevent](https://blog.evvnt.com/hs-fs/hubfs/evvntupsellyourevent.png?width=1272&height=220&name=evvntupsellyourevent.png)

Not every upsell has to be glamorous. Reserved parking, coat check, seat cushions and blankets at outdoor shows solve real problems, and guests remember the venue that made their night easier.

**Make it work:** Offer these when guests buy tickets, while they're still planning their night.

## The Upsell Nobody Talks About: Visibility

Every idea above has one thing in common. It only works if people know about your event. The best VIP package in town won't sell if your event is buried on page four of a search.

That's where Evvnt comes in. With [**Premium Listing**](https://evvnt.com/event-creators/premium/), you submit your event once and it goes out to 40+ targeted local listing sites, so it gets found by people already looking for something to do. Want to land right in their inbox?

[**Premium Email**](https://evvnt.com/event-creators/email/) sends your event to a verified, opted-in list of local eventgoers. We provide the list *and* the design.

And if you ever get stuck, call us. A real person picks up.

**Ready for more guests to upsell to?**
