The New Hampshire Film Festival Brings 100+ Movies Back to Downtown Portsmouth

Portsmouth, cue the trailers. The New Hampshire Film Festival is rolling out more than 100 films across downtown — and opening night is basically this week.

The 24th Annual New Hampshire Film Festival takes place Oct. 15–18, 2026, throughout downtown Portsmouth, according to the festival's official site. The pitch is simple and irresistible: love movies? They've got over 100 of them.

Organizers even flagged a Trailer Release Party for Thursday, Oct. 8 at 5 p.m. — a perfect appetizer before the full weekend of screenings.
